Rive Gauche London is searching for a middleweight/senior interior designer to join its team in London.

Rive Gauche London is an interior design company based in Holborn, WC1, central London. We design and deliver individual crafted interior for private residences and luxury hotel. We are passionate about truly bespoke interior. With a growing portfolio of projects in five different countries including London and Monaco, we are looking for a talented and creative interior designer to join our studio in London.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled interior designer with three to five years’ experience in the UK. Experience working on high-end projects either residential or hospitality with excellent attention to detail is a must.

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to create and develop bespoke interior design scheme with the assistance of the design director. Rive Gauche London design the full project from scratch including interior architecture, joinery, bespoke FF&E, bespoke finishes and materials.

Design:

  • create a unique concept including interior design and interior architecture in accordance with client brief
  • develop a concept in 3D using SketchUp
  • source and select bespoke materials and finishes
  • create and develop bespoke design for joinery, chandeliers, carpet through technical drawings and details in collaboration with artisan and craftsman

In addition, from time to time your responsibilities will include:

FF&E:

  • design/specify and procure bespoke FF&E
  • organise and manage FF&E logistic including quality control and delivery

Technical:

  • assist the team in the production of drawings including joinery using AutoCAD
  • produce design information for tender purpose such as finishes schedule, ironmongery schedule, door schedule

Required experience:

  • Three to five years’ design experience in the UK.
  • High-end project experience either residential or hospitality
  • Knowledge and experience in high-end, bespoke, interior design projects

Required skills:

  • software skills must include SketchUp, Photoshop and AutoCAD
  • exceptional creative ability and strong understanding of the luxury market
  • be curious, be passionate about design; be courageous
  • a proactive approach to working (can-do attitude), with an ability to take initiative
