Project architect

Gort Scott is looking for an experienced project architect to join its expanding team in London.
Gort Scott is a London-based practice with a varied and interesting portfolio of housing and urban design projects both in the public and private sector. The practice has a background in research, public realm and small-scale projects and is now working on larger projects whilst continuing to work on finer-grained schemes. The studio has won a number of awards including the NLA Mayor’s Prize, a Civic Trust Award, RIBA National Award and shortlisted for the Architect of The Year Award.
We are a dedicated, friendly office, with a creative and motivated atmosphere, encouraging open discussion and testing of ideas. We use a number of methods to design, prioritising sketching and model making alongside 3d modelling.
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
- three+ years post Part 3 experience with recognised Part 3 or equivalent qualification
- experience connecting and developing relationships with clients, consultant teams and contractors
- experience delivering high profile projects as well as smaller projects
- experience in managing teams and motivating others to reach their potential
- proficient design and technical skills, attentive to detail
- proficient project management and organisational skills
- proactive approach to working and capability to take the initiative
- good communication skills, including good written skills for the purpose of reports and presentations
- use or knowledge of VectorWorks, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud. Familiarity with Revit (BIM) preferable but not essential
- use and knowledge of NBS an advantage but not essential
- an interest and experience in urban design projects
- fluency in speaking and writing English essential
