Adjaye Associates is seeking a BIM manager to join its team in London.

BIM manager

We are looking for an experienced and passionate BIM manager for our London Office, to ensure the best BIM practice and standards across a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • managing our internal BIM group and working closely with our external BIM consultant and IT support company, overseeing BIM strategy and implementation
  • work with project teams and ensure all models comply with company standards, with regular monitoring and auditing of projects to ensure compliancy
  • work with the visualisation team to ensure an efficient workflow
  • take the lead on BIM and DTM meetings
  • write and maintain BIM execution plans
  • develop Revit standards
  • ensure best BIM practice across projects
  • undertake clash detection exercises as required
  • assist in modelling complex interfaces and elements as required
  • manage the implementation of supporting software for BIM
  • manage software products incorporating new version releases, plug-ins etc.
  • ensure knowledge of BIM related software is current, and evaluate new software and technologies
  • provide BIM support to the practice including CAD conversions, formats and information exchange
  • train and mentor staff – leading technical induction to all new staff, ensuring thorough knowledge of standards, BIM and project procedures

Qualities and skills:

  • qualified technician/Part 3 ARB-registered architect
  • previous experience within an architectural practice as a BIM manager or BIM lead
  • expert knowledge of Revit and BIM
  • working knowledge of Dynamo a bonus
  • experience in project level BIM coordination and managing architectural teams in BIM workflows
  • a keen explorer and validator of new techniques and technologies
  • a great communicator and capable teacher of project technology
  • self-motivated, pro-active with lots of initiative
  • must have the right to work in the UK
