Grimshaw is seeking a studio BIM manager to join its team in New York.

Grimshaw’s New York studio is seeking a passionate and talented BIM Manager to provide leadership to the studio BIM strategy and to support architectural project teams in the use of BIM tools and workflows.
The purpose of the BIM manager will be to coordinate BIM efforts across the studio, spreading awareness of Grimshaw’s capabilities and ensuring all projects are supported. The studio BIM manager will also represent the New York studio BIM team as part of global design technology strategies and initiatives and will report to the director of design technology.
Core responsibilities of the BIM manager will span from advising project teams on potential BIM requirements, facilitating initial project setup, maintaining project BIM models and associated project BIM support documents, performing BIM coordination exercises and training project team members.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring the performance and quality levels of BIM models and ensuring they satisfy the prescribed project-specific BIM requirements and Grimshaw BIM standards.
Skills and qualifications:
- must be able to clearly articulate advanced concepts in a way that team members of all levels can understand
- ahould possess the ability to train teams in relevant workflows and software packages
- a methodical approach to problem-solving is required
- must be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and balance workloads
- must have proven leadership and management skills
- degree in architecture, architectural technology, or other relevant subject
- Revit exam-based certification is beneficial
Required technical skills:
- advanced proven knowledge of Autodesk Revit and other relevant BIM authoring packages
- familiarity with design applications such as Rhino. Experience with Revit interoperability is highly beneficial.
- knowledge of Dynamo/Grasshopper is highly beneficial
- experience with model federation and coordination.
- experience of delivering projects to relevant BIM standards (ISO19650, etc.)
- experience with large scale projects and teams
- experience of managing a BIM team working across multiple projects and initiatives
