David Kohn Architects is seeking Part 1/2 architectural assistants to join its team in London.
David Kohn Architects is looking to recruit architectural assistants to join its growing team and work across a number of high-profile projects. You will be at the heart of designing ambitious projects, guided by qualified architects and colleagues.

The practice
David Kohn Architects was established in 2007 and has gained an international reputation for the quality of its design. We collaborate with our clients, consultant teams and end users to deliver highly tailored schemes that exceed expectations. We are currently working on major projects for an architecture faculty in Belgium, a university campus in Oxford and creative workspace buildings in Greenwich. Supporting our clients in the drive towards carbon negative futures is an important part of our current and future work.
General skills/knowledge/qualities required:
- able to produce significant output efficiently
- able to act independently and bring creative ideas to design problems
- demonstrates the ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information
- able to use common industry software proficiently, including Revit, Vectorworks (2D/ 3D), SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, Rhino, MS Office Suite, Google Document Suite, Mac OS and Microsoft OS
- good organisational skills with great attention to detail
- able to adapt and work effectively to changing priorities
- have completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in architecture as appropriate to the role
Part 2 experience/knowledge required:
- experience of delivering RIBA Stages 1-3 or
- consultant coordination experience
- experience working in teams
- understanding of planning, building regulation, and technical requirements
- experience in one of the following:
- public realm/urban design
- sustainability and embodied carbon
- private residential work
