Pollard Thomas Edwards is looking for a BIM support technician to join its team in London.
BIM support technician
We are currently seeking a talented BIM support technician to assist with the BIM team. Reporting to the head of BIM and working alongside the BIM coordinator, you will work within all studio workshops to provide support to all BIM and Revit projects.
Key areas of responsibility:
- deal with Revit and BIM related queries that come through the ticket support system
- provide support in dealing with Revit queries and issues and troubleshooting when required
- work within all studio workshops to provide support to all BIM and Revit projects
- provide one-to-one mentoring on ‘Best Practice’ workflows to project teams as required
- setting up Revit projects and studying the best bespoke strategy for each project
- deliver project team training and mentoring in Revit
- Revit content creation
- contributing to BEP’s (BIM Execution plans)
- attend project BIM kick off meetings
- attend BIM committee meetings
- working on Revit projects when required to meet project deadline
Technical skills:
- advanced Revit skills
- advanced modelling skills and Revit content creation
- knowledge of Navisworks and Dynamo an advantage
- knowledge of Autocad useful
- knowledge and application of UK BIM protocols and standards, BS EN ISO 19650-1, ISO 19650-2
- knowledge of IFC and COBie a plus
Salary according to experience.
