Home Tales is seeking an architectural assistant to join its team in London.
We are looking for an architectural assistant to join our growing team on a six month fixed term contract, with a view of full-time employment once the six month period is over.

Home Tales is an architectural firm based in London. We offer homeowners a design package for home extensions and renovations. Our services include architectural design, planning permission and building regulation packs. Client relationships are at the forefront of our business philosophy and our team go above and beyond to always deliver excellent service. We are based in southwest London.
The role
We are looking for an architectural assistant to join our growing team in London. The role is temporary, on a six month contract. This is with a view to join on a permanent basis if capacity allows once the six month period has ended.
This role is spilt into three main categories:
- one – to assist with architectural drawings
- two – to undertake administrative duties
- three – to assist with marketing activities
It is a diverse role, and it will be well suited to an architect graduate who has an interest or natural flair for admin and/or marketing.
The right individual will need to be competent in AutoCAD, as you will be assisting the architectural designers to draw up schemes for clients. This will include drawing up hand-drawn surveys, making amendments to existing drawings and creating planning sets. The role will also help with the day-to-day marketing and administrative activities of the business, so a natural flair for organisation and attention to detail is a must. Marketing experience is not necessary, but it’s advantageous.
This role would be perfect for an architect graduate who is looking to gain experience in an architectural practice. We very much support long-term development and for the right individual, progression into a more architectural relevant role will be supported.
Criteria required:
- proficient at AutoCAD – experience in SketchUp and photoshop is also desirable but not required
- natural creative flair and able to follow client specification to draw up proposals
- organised and fantastic attention to detail
- excellent interpersonal skills, particularly when building relationships with clients, co-workers, and suppliers
- comfortable on the phone
- natural interest in marketing is required – experience in marketing is not required but desirable
- fluent in English, verbal and written
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm
Salary: £18k-£22k (depending on experience)
Term: Temporary, six month contract
