BIG is seeking an IT assistant to join its team in London.

For the past years BIG LON has experienced a continuous growth, hence we are currently looking for a proactive and ambitious IT assistant to join our expanding operations team in London.

The ideal candidate must have some experience within IT support, desktop, and network troubleshooting and setup. You must have an interest in working across a broad range of technologies and the ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of issues. You will be working closely with the IT teams in our Copenhagen and New York offices and you will be reporting directly to the junior IT manger in the London office. You must be committed to working in a self-motivated but collaborative manner, with a desire to continually learn and develop, in a fast-paced environment.

Primary areas of responsibility:

  • provide dedicated and direct IT support to all BIG London staff in a professional manner
  • identify, categorise, prioritise, diagnose and resolve service incidents and service requests for the BIG London office, including but not limited to software, hardware, Microsoft Office 365, printers, scanners, telephone systems, as well as a range of standard software applications within the architecture industry
  • set up of new desktops, laptops and peripherals for staff
  • network and server troubleshooting, and maintenance as required
  • creating and deploying new software installations
  • aet up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of video conference software and hardware
  • documentation of the constantly changing software and hardware inventory
  • onboarding new employees
  • ensure all service requests and incidents are accurately recorded and managed in the service desk’s incident management system.
  • communicate relevant updates to, and set clear service expectations with the junior IT manager

We seek a person who:

  • has one to three years’ experience working as an IT team member in a professional office environment
  • is organised, structured and detail oriented with a positive can-do attitude
  • has the ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment simultaneously
  • has a professional presence and is capable of multi-tasking
  • is proactive and completes tasks with a sense of urgency
  • feels that no task is too little or too great
  • is a natural people-person who enjoys a busy and creative environment
  • demonstrates clear and concise English written and verbal communication and has excellent interpersonal skills

This job description is not exhaustive and the postholder may be required to perform other duties as may be reasonably determined by the IT Director, the office and community manager or the managing director as circumstances require.

The salary range for the role is £23,000-£28,000 per annum, dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
