PR/communications assistant
at Fathom Architects

Fathom Architects is seeking a PR/communications assistant to join its team in London.

Fathom is a young, collaborative architects studio based in Bermondsey, London. Depth is what we do – depth of complexity, depth of collaboration, depth of care. We specialise in unlocking complex briefs and sensitive sites across sectors including workplace, residential, education and research.

As a growing practice, we need a creative and confident new team member with a flair for writing and a strong visual eye. We’re looking for a motivated person who wants an active role in supporting the expansion of the studio over the coming years. You will report directly to the partners, working with experienced communications consultant, Julia Nicholls, and our wider team to create engaging content.

Position: two or three days per week – at least one day per week in the studio

Salary: £30-35k pa pro rata, depending on experience

The role is perfect for someone keen to be a part of a team and contribute to our lively studio culture

The role will evolve, but current responsibilities are:

  • social media (LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • digital content management (website, online profiles)
  • awards entries
  • newsletter content
  • press releases
  • marketing content
  • photo shoots
  • events
  • new business support

Skills needed:

  • demonstrated ability of written skills
  • graphic design capability (InDesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint)
  • social media experience (LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • personal organisation and responsibility
  • taking initiative
