Another Country is looking for a retail sales consultant – e-commerce and showroom to join its team in London.
About us
We design and manufacture contemporary craft furniture and accessories, aiming to make products that are built to last, both in terms of construction and style. Our clients are trade, wholesale and direct retail consumers, both UK based and international.
The role
This is a customer-focused role based at our central London showroom. You’ll be dealing with customers in a friendly and professional manner, whilst taking care of our e-commerce platform & helping to ensure that the marketing plan is implemented. This role will be integral to the business, reporting to the Director, liaising with other members of the team internally as well as external suppliers/consultants. There will be a great deal of customer liaison within this role, so you will need to be confident on the phone and with face to face customer interaction. Previous showroom/front of house experience would be an advantage.
Main duties:
- – Showroom (meet & greet), retail sales & online sales
- taking telephone calls from the general public, clients and press (a good phone manner is essential)
- customer service: sales, updates, and after care. Custom quotes for retail clients
- day-to-day website management (creating and maintaining content for key areas of the website)
- creating web pages for new products and uploading corresponding images
- compile and send regular group emails to key customers
- look after some social media content (weekly Instagram story)
- help plan & manage in-store events
- help to implement wider marketing strategies (seasonal retail offerings, etc)
- assisting with the general upkeep of the showroom and arranging refreshments when required
- managing stock levels of ‘evergreen’ products (accessories we always have at the shop), stationary, and packing materials
Person specification:
- a confident person experienced in a customer facing role
- fluency in English is a prerequisite
- e-commerce experience (related degree desirable)
- enthusiastic & self-motivated team player
- ability to multi-task
- ability to approach new clients, talk and present confidently about our products and our brand
- organised and able to juggle multiple tasks, prioritising urgent and important enquiries
- good admin/IT skills are necessary as you will be required to email, manage the showroom diary and issue quotations using Excel, PowerPoint
- good time management skills
- interest in furniture and design
- two-three years of prior experience
