What we’re looking for
Michael Green Architecture is seeking a talented senior architectural designer who possesses infinite curiosity and creative thinking. You’ll be expected to be an integral part of our crew by leading the design effort on large and complex projects. This is a great opportunity to have meaningful impact on some of our most exciting projects yet!
What you’ll get up to:
- lead and manage teams in the coordination of large scaled and complex projects
- create and explore high quality design and planning concepts across numerous projects
- work effectively with internal teams, clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors
- work in a team-oriented environment – mentor, advise, and coach a team of talented junior and intermediate designers
- promote and lead office-wide initiatives, and support marketing and business development pursuits
- instil and promote a culture of learning and development in the company with your empathetic leadership style
What we value:
- eight plus years’ of architectural experience across a range of project types
- registered architect preferred
- experience leading large, complex projects through various project phases
- exceptional design planning, and ability to communicate design concepts to a range of audiences
- ability to apply working knowledge of municipal and government processes, as well as building codes and bylaws
- excitement to uphold and story tell the MGA vision
- local Vancouver experience (BCBC, VBBL, Passive House or NetZero are big bonuses!)
- proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Suite
