Project BIM manager

WilkinsonEyre is recruiting for a full-time, permanent project BIM manager to lead BIM utilisation on several exciting projects in London.

We are especially keen to hear from those with proven experience in facilitating architectural design through advanced modelling techniques and information management processes- especially across RIBA Stages 2 – 3.

Main responsibilities:

  • oversee BIM coordinators and project BIM leads, and act as a liaison between project teams and the head of BIM
  • organise/attend project BIM strategy and coordination meetings with external stakeholders
  • develop strategies to deliver in and ensure compliance with the BIM execution plans and the WilkinsonEyre digital production standards
  • develop and review the project BIM execution Plan (BEP) and supporting documentation in response to the exchange information requirements (EIR)
  • ensure standards and information requirements are effectively communicated to project teams
  • advise on and ensure best practice is followed in modelling and project setup
  • provide high-level technical and software support to teams and individuals
  • identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • contribute to the ongoing development of WilkinsonEyre BIM infrastructure (standards, processes, templates, content)
  • trial and promote new BIM-related software and technologies across the practice

Experience and skills:

  • architectural background is preferred
  • BIM management of large projects using Autodesk Revit
  • project information management in line with ISO19650
  • modelling and information management automation
  • excellent written and verbal communication
  • comfortable working with multiple teams on multiple projects
  • able to manage sensitive, and sometimes confidential information

Software:

  • excellent in using Autodesk Revit
  • Revit model checkers (e.g., Solibri, Autodesk Model Checker for Revit).
  • popular Revit addins (e.g., Autodesk BIM Interoperability tools, Ideate tools, pyRevit, Diroots)
  • Rhino-Revit interoperability (Rhino.Inside, MKS BEAM) is highly desirable
  • visual programming (Dynamo, Grasshopper) and/or programming languages (Revit API – python/C#) is highly desirable
  • common data environments (e.g., Autodesk Docs for AEC)
  • coordination platforms (e.g., BIM Track, Autodesk Design Collaboration)
