Donna Wilson is seeking a studio manager to join its team in London.

We’re looking for a highly motivated, methodical, and adaptable studio manager. Someone who will oversee the day-to-day running of the Donna Wilson studio, keeping the team and supply chain organised. This is a great opportunity to become a key part of a small friendly team within a creative environment.

Donna Wilson is an award-winning textile and product designer who established her studio in 2003. Based in east London, Donna and her team design, produce and ship homeware, clothing, accessories and odd objects around the world.

Hours: full-time (Monday to Friday), based in the east London studio.

Current responsibilities include:

  • studio administration – managing all day-to-day goings-on
  • acting as first point of contact for the team and suppliers – dealing with emails and phone calls as a priority
  • communicating with suppliers, placing orders, and managing delivery dates and logistics
  • running weekly stock reports on Dear Inventory to manage stock levels, sharing this with relevant members of the team
  • arranging and taking part in the annual trade shows (UK and international), booking transport and accommodation for staff and booth
  • arranging monthly meetings with the team to ensure everyone is kept up to date on projects and general Donna Wilson business
  • approving holiday requests
  • manage cleaning and maintenance of the studio

Skills needed:

  • strong interpersonal, communication and leadership
  • management experience preferred
  • good decision making and problem-solving
  • personal organisation and responsibility
  • ability to use initiative and keep calm under pressure
  • able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • MS Office skills – Excel most important
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • being a multitasker and working within tight deadlines
  • good planning, exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • experience of using a stock management system would be preferable

Salary range: £25k – £29k per annum, depending on skillset and experience.
