As a business developer/art restoration and maintenance with UAP, you will develop and convert art restoration, maintenance, and other related business opportunities. You will also be responsible for finding and winning enough projects to meet our business expectations, maintaining and growing the art restoration and maintenance team. In addition, working closely with UAP’s expert delivery team and conservators, you will manage client relationships and oversee the delivery of art restoration projects for UAP while promoting the vision and capability of the company.
Key responsibilities:
- new business development, client communication, and maintaining client relationships
- identifying and researching potential clients and new partnership strategies linked to art restoration and maintenance and research clients
- drafting fee and other sales proposals, handling project documentation, reviewing contracts, etc.
- assist other departments with resolving issues occurring during the different stages of art restoration and maintenance
- help monitor quality control
- willingness to travel and cover key clients and potential clients in the United States, especially the New York-tristate area
- meet and exceed sales targets
Additional responsibilities:
- present UAP services and skillsets to potential clients in-person and remotely
- discuss restoration and maintenance scope requirements of projects with clients
- maintain self-reporting of opportunity pipeline, revenue, and staff forecast
- coordinate with the estimation and workshop teams to develop appropriate proposals
- negotiate contract terms with the client and communicate with stakeholders
- coordinate transition of projects to the project management and workshop team
- communicate future workload to operations for staffing
- communicate future revenue to finance
- participate in the restoration business strategy development
Qualifications:
- tertiary qualification or extensive equivalent experience in the relevant field, especially in business development/new business projects in the arts, construction, heritage, museum, building restorations, architecture, landscape, or interior design industry
- appreciation and interest in art and design fields, including specific manufacturing and fabrication processes for cast and fabricated art projects
- ability to gain knowledge of project estimation
- able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
- high-level analytical problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to multitask through multiple projects

- strong understanding of, or ability to gain an understanding of, the creative, construction, or manufacturing industries
- high-level ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels

- intermediate to advanced level of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud applications
