Part 3 project architect

Unagru is looking for a Part 3 project architect to join its studio in London.
Unagru is a young practice based in east London with a varied background in urbanism, ecological design, and architecture and a growing portfolio of private residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes. We work hard to create beautiful architecture, and to grow into becoming better critical thinkers, designers and professionals. We are also a friendly, collaborative team sharing an office space, conversations and lunches with other like-minded architecture practices.
We want to meet someone who will become a leader in the practice and work to make it grow and diversify. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of post-Part 2 experience in the UK, and feel ready to take on the responsibility of leading medium to large private residential projects. They will be very passionate about architecture and construction technology. They will be willing to contribute to the company’s growth by improving processes and standards, investing time in education and sharing knowledge with the team. They will be confident working independently and collaborate effectively in a project team through all design phases. They will be able or quickly learn to coordinate and manage projects from start to finish and deal directly with clients, contractors, and consultants. They will have exceptional attention to detail.
The basics
You will be working on and leading two or three high-end residential architectural projects. You will also choose between non-residential and speculative research projects, and or participate in preparing competition entries. Please note this is a different, more senior position compared to the Part2/3 position we have advertised earlier this month.
Successful candidates will have:
- a minimum of one year of working experience using Revit. Please do not apply otherwise
- at least three years post Part 2 experience
- at least one year as a project architect, or the confidence to be able to take on this responsibility
- a beautiful portfolio
- exceptional conceptual, design and technical ability
- an understanding of the architectural projects’ design approach and workflow
- technical knowledge of UK planning and building regulations and UK/London housing standards
- excellent communication skills and be perfectly fluent in English
permanent permission to work in the UK
Start date: ASAP, with a three month probation period
Location: Dalston, east London
Salary: £35-42k per annum, depending on experience
