Currently based in east London, we are opening a new flagship showroom at Design District in North Greenwich early in 2022. We are looking for a designer to work alongside our creative director to meet new clients, show them what we do, and create architecturally responsive designs, in our house style, suitable for manufacture. - be actively interested and well informed about general furniture design and architecture
- enjoy meeting new clients, telling them about our product and forming great working relationships with them
- have a sharp eye for architectural detail and be capable of working methodically and accurately
- have an understanding of building regulations and construction standards
- be ambitious and self-motivated, we seek an individual who works well in a collaborative and supportive team environment
Experience and qualifications:
- a professional degree in interior design, furniture design, architecture or in a related field is preferred, but candidates with relevant practical experience will be considered
- highly proficient using 2D CAD, SketchUp and Photoshop
- the ability to produce clear and accurate technical design drawings
- strong organisational skills, resourceful and with a proactive approach to problem solving
- while experience in the field of furniture sales would be a bonus, it is not strictly necessary
Responsibility and duties:
- filter and respond to new project enquiries
- create full design proposals in collaboration with the client
- meet potential clients to show them around the showroom, explain our work and listen to their requirements
- prepare preliminary sketch plans to create estimates
- create and issue contract documentation
- site visits to discuss design and undertake preliminary surveys
- create technical services drawings

Contract type: Permanent contract. Full-time or part-time considered.
Please submit your CV, portfolio of your work (max 10MB), and a covering letter with salary expectations, notice periods/availability and any other information you feel would be relevant. We look forward to hearing from you.
