The role
In this influential senior designer role, you will be producing high quality project design deliverables from concept generation to both FF&E specification and construction documents. They work directly with the Lead Designers on tasks and deliverables to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion. They oversee multiple projects simultaneously and are responsible of their team that consists of designers from junior to senior levels.
Main duties:
- manages team work flow and efficiency
- forecasts design schedules and interior team hours
- creates, prepares and presents design concepts for the review of the lead designer
- ensures project deliverables are in accordance with the design development timetable and interior design budget and report to lead designers on a weekly level
- responsible for FF&E budgets
- attends weekly reviews with procurement manager to monitor progress to report to lead designer
- ensures that the integrity of the agreed design solutions are maintained by taking responsibility for the development of the design and the project
- lead FF&E install
- works closely together with lead designer to ensure continuous improvement of Soho House Standards
Requirements/qualifications:
- six plus years’ of experience in hospitality and residential design
- bachelor’s degree in interior design
- experience in being part of a collaborative design environment
- knowledge of local and online showrooms and resources, industry trends
- thrives in a fast-paced dynamic, creative environment
- product development a plus
- candidates must be a US citizen or hold a US work visa
Software requirements:
- professional-level design software proficiency (AutoCAD)
- professional-level design software proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Revit knowledge a plus
