Makower Architects is seeking an exceptional design architect to join its team in London.
The design architect will work on UK residential and commercial projects.
Candidates must have five/seven years post Part-III experience and be a registered architect with the Architects Registration Board. This is a great opportunity for joining Makower Architects. The selected applicant will have a strong mandate to lead projects and be part of the development of the practice in terms of its creative output, its vision and its growth. There is huge potential for responsibility, for promotion and for increasing remuneration, as well as for creative challenges and opportunities. There will be potential to play a leading strategic role in visual brand development, communication vision, modelling and visualisations, project ‘legacy’ content for publication etc. The selected applicant will work with other members of the leadership team, with a culture of excellence, to achieve business and quality targets, to build growth and to achieve maximum/optimum success for the practice and its work.
Applicants should have the following skills and experience:
- a passion for innovative design
- a passion for bespoke detailing
- substantial experience in UK residential and commercial projects
- strong knowledge of early/planning stages of residential and commercial design
- thorough knowledge of UK building regulations, planning and code compliance
- demonstrable experience of RIBA work stages
- external envelope detailing
- design team leadership
- project running skills and experience are essential
- ability to work in a team environment and good communication skills
- working with 3D is required
- working with Autodesk Revit/BIM is required
- good spoken and written English
