AB Architekten is seeking an intermediate project manager to join its team in New York.
AB Architekten is an award-winning, full-service architecture and design firm located in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The office is engaged in a diverse range of work including multi-family residential, commercial development, and hospitality projects in New York City, on Long Island, and in Upstate, New York. The scale of these projects ranges from master planning to interior remodeling.
Since its inception, the firm has been committed to the local community and has been involved in pro bono work through DesigNYC and Architecture for Humanity.
We are seeking a talented, energetic, and highly motivated intermediate project manager to join our studio (in Poughkeepsie or NYC) to work on a variety of ground-up and adaptive reuse projects, with a focus on sustainable design.
This position is suited to those who are interested in working independently on multiple projects, as well as collaboratively, within a fast-paced, creative, team environment. The candidate is expected to play a meaningful role in all phases of projects, working directly with clients, contractors, and consultants.

Candidate should possess the following:
- five year bachelor of architecture degree or higher
- between three and seven years’ of architectural office experience, NYC experience a plus
- experience with production of construction drawings
- knowledge of construction detailing and materials
- experience with Construction Administration
- project management and organizational skills
- excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and consultants
- strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D (Rhino/V-Ray/SketchUp), Photoshop and InDesign
- excellent spoken and written English
- knowledge of NYC building codes, filing process, and zoning regulations is a plus
