Brookes Architects is hiring a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
Brookes Architects has an ideal case study project for a Part 2 architectural assistant looking to progress to Part 3 qualification. Progressing one of our schemes to stage 5 to 6 works with contract administration of a standard JCT contract for a large new-build private house – just about to commence on site. This is a great opportunity to assist/lead the construction stage works of a traditional procurement project, in parallel with numerous other projects.
We work on residential projects from one-off private houses to large multi-storey developments with commercial and community mixed use elements, student housing, hotels and care homes.
We are located in south west London, close to Richmond Park, with our office in The Grange at The Bank of England Sports Club.
We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and a solid ability to work accurately. They will be proficient and motivated, with the ambition to take increasing responsibility and to grow with the practice.
Essential requirements:
- demonstrable experience on UK residential projects, including the production of drawings (using Revit) and schedules for regulatory approvals, tender and construction
- a sound knowledge of UK planning legislation and statutory regulations
- strong communication skills with fluent verbal and written English
- some experience in client, consultant and contractor liaison and co-ordination

Salary £30,000 to £35,000 commensurate with experience.
