UPP Architects + Town Planners is seeking a Part 1 and Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Part 1 and Part 2 architectural assistant to join our practice! UPP is a young, rapidly growing architecture and planning practice with projects all around the UK.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious candidate to work with an integrated team formed of architects and town planners in a range of multi-scale projects, throughout various stages.
You’ll be joining a highly social office where we acknowledge the big impact that each employee makes on the company. We believe that a team is as good as the people in it and full support will be provided by management and colleagues. As a small company, you’ll also be working closely with and be mentored by the directors and senior architects.
Required skills and experience:
- UK experience (preferably within the residential sector)
- highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
- Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Rhino is beneficial
- understanding of the current UK planning and building regulations (beneficial but not essential)
- strong interest in design, evident through a portfolio of work
- being proactive and a huge desire to learn
Whilst working with us you will:
- be part of a dynamic, experienced team to create architectural drawings and technical designs to a high standard
- have valuable input in design matters, team activities, project coordination and areas that will bring out the best in you, which ranges from proposing a new concept or technical solutions to producing specifications, presentations and attending client meetings
- communicating with the team and third parties to ensure project coordination is in compliance with building regulations, complete all projects within the given time frame and liaise with your manager for feedback, advice, growth and any queries
