Blake Architects is hiring a Part 1 architectural assistant to join its team in Gloucestershire, UK.
Blake Architects is a RIBA chartered practice based near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire; set on the edge of a small village.
We focus on rural projects, including offices, homes, tourist and educational schemes. Our work often involves working with heritage buildings and the re use/imagining of old buildings.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Part 1 assistant to help with a diverse range of projects that we are currently working on.
The role will provide excellent opportunities to gain experience over all RIBA stages. We offer a competitive salary.
Must have:
- B.Arch degree
- demonstrated interest in sustainability and building performance
- be highly collaborative by nature
- have an ingrained desire to produce meaningful design with a creative mindset
- a curiosity in in old and new buildings and building
- fluent in written and spoken English
Nice to have:
- access to a car, unless a very keen cyclist! (whilst near towns the office is rural)
- experience with Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
- time spent working in the UK
Salary: £20,000 - £24,999
