Are you looking for a new opportunity? We are looking for a talented senior architect to join our dynamic and expanding architectural team within our newly opened Bristol Studio in the heart of the city. This is an opportunity to join the experienced and ambitious team currently in place to help shape the future of the studio going forward under a newly appointed director with 20+ years in the public and private sectors.
With a particular focus towards the private sector residential, workplace and mixed-use markets, we are seeking a design focussed individual with strong experience in these sectors. In addition to this you will also have the opportunity to work on an array of projects across a variety of sectors including blue light, commercial, custodial, education, healthcare, industrial and leisure.
As a senior architect you will be responsible for leading the whole design team on project delivery through all stages of a project. You will be expected to be able to lead all small to large sized projects and communicate directly with the client and the entire project team. You should have excellent design and technical skills and all-round project knowledge.
The role includes:
- leading and delivering a variety of projects, from small to large, in different sectors, through all stages of a project. The role will sometimes include being part of a large team on major projects
- working alongside the project director to produce, manage and control the project brief, fees, costs, programme and deliverables
- leading the design, detailing, specification and coordination of projects from inception to completion
- communicating with the client and all members of the project team at all times
- organise and chair all necessary meetings and project reviews
- working in a multi discipline environment and managing the project team
- keeping the project director informed at all times
- fully support and manage the architectural teams assigned to your projects
- ensuring the team understand and comply with all relevant legislation related to the project

About You
We are looking for experienced, dynamic and proficient senior architects. If you are creative, proactive, enthusiastic, responsible and a practical person with an interest in sustainable design we would love to hear from you.
Key skills we would like you to have:
- RIBA Part 3 qualification and ARB registration
- post qualification experience
- experienced at leading projects large complex projects
- experienced across a number of sectors
- experienced at all design stages
- excellent design passion and ability
- excellent understanding of sustainable design solutions
- excellent technical detailing knowledge
- excellent specification and materials knowledge, ability to use NBS
- excellent contract administration knowledge
- excellent knowledge of current technical standards and regulations
- excellent at multitasking and working to tight deadlines
- excellent written, verbal communication and client facing skills, combined with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- excellent self-motivation
- excellent at working collaboratively with all team members
- proficient at REVIT
- proficient at expressing your design ideas through hand drawings or rough sketching
