Levitt Bernstein is seeking a project landscape architect to join its team in London.

Levitt Bernstein’s place studio is looking for a talented project landscape architect with at least four years’ experience of professional practice. You should have proven knowledge of work based in the UK and a passion for creative design.  Our practice champions a collaborative approach to design and the right candidate will be able to demonstrate concept-led thinking and explain design ideas fluently.  We are keen to see experience of place-led design ideas with an emphasis on hand-drawn sketches and exploration.

General technical knowledge is required, and good communication and organisational skills are critical. You will have proven experience of working on projects at all work stages and capable of running multiple projects and delivering high quality results. Strong attention to detail with exceptional design skills essential.

We offer the opportunity to work on an exciting breadth of projects of all scales from concept to implementation.  The role will involve liaison with clients, consultants and contractors and would suit an ambitious young designer who wishes to experience multi-disciplinary working in an engaging and collaborative studio team.  Our studio uses Revit as the primary drafting software.

Our work sectors include public parks, regeneration masterplans and residential-led landscape, schools, environmental enhancement projects and design guidance for clients.  Our Place studio has an independent workstream and all projects involve a considered approach to community engagement.

Levitt Bernstein creates beautiful, sustainable buildings and places for people to live, work and play in. We are an award-winning design practice of architects, urban designers and landscape architects with studios in London and Manchester. Our focus is on the needs of the end users, listening to our clients and communities as we design.

We place emphasis on providing a fostering and positive environment for the development of our team and Chartership support can be provided.

We have introduced hybrid working to allow staff to work between the studio and home, to increase flexibility, enhance wellbeing and inspire a culture of trust and creativity. This is open to all new recruits after an initial period working in the studio.

Competent Adobe Suite skills and Sketch-up is required; strong skills in CAD and knowledge of Autodesk’s Revit is an advantage.  Hand-drawing and presentation skills are essential and an interest in planting design is valued.
