Mid-weight interior designer

Tigg + Coll has an opportunity for a mid-weight interior designer to join its team in London.

Tigg + Coll are an award-winning design led studio of architects and designers working across a large number of residential, commercial and hospitality sectors. With a rapidly expanding interiors portfolio we are looking for someone able to lead our interiors projects, ideally with some architectural and/or technical knowledge and experience.

Since our inception, our practice ethos has focused on how people live and want to live in our evolving society. This has been the bedrock of our work as a studio and has brought us a wide range of challenging projects that have led to recognition as a leading design studio. Recent awards include, Mix Interiors Project of the Year (Living Interiors), FX Awards Best Build to Rent/PRS Interior, British Homes Awards Best Interior Designer, BD Interior Designer of the Year (shortlist), and shortlisted for RIBA House of the Year 2021.

Based in West London, we are a practice with a strong team ethos and an expanding portfolio. We are seeking a determined and diligent individual to join our team to work on a wide range of residential led projects from exciting one-off homes, co/living and co/working interiors and mixed use development projects at all stages of work from concept to completion. We can offer excellent experience at all work stages including a number of projects currently under construction as well as good levels of responsibility and opportunities to progress leadership skills for the right candidate.

Key skills and experience:

  • BA interior design, BA interior architecture, or related field
  • be super creative
  • positive and collaborative attitude
  • meticulous attention to design detail with a good eye for presentation
  • strong level of interest and knowledge of current trends and products
  • experience in both leading and working as part of a design team to work effectively as part of a creative process
  • proven experience working within residential and the hospitality sector; experience working on Build to Rent and hospitality projects would be a bonus
  • project resourcing, producing material and mood boards and other related documents to the design
  • be highly skilled at producing high quality 3D visualisations (SketchUp/V-Ray/Lumion or other similar software)
  • ability to produce full design intent CAD drawing sets for construction, joinery and general layouts (ideally Vectorworks proficient)
  • ability to annotate and review drawings
  • source and manage the administration and coordination of FF&E
  • ability to work within a fast-paced environment and deliver within project time constraints
  • excellent spoken and written communication in English
  • have a good understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • right to work in the UK
