The role

The industrial designer will be responsible for assisting our design team across all the department tasks that range across all the areas of product design: from the creation of technical information for manufacturing to new product development.

Responsibilities:

  • developing new solutions for new products and ranges, supporting research, conceptualisation and visualisation of new ideas
  • upgrading existing products and evolving our ranges to improve quality, processes, and materials focused on our sustainability goals
  • delivering production drawings, bill of materials and installation instructions
  • dealing with product inquiries and orders, setting up and maintaining products on the company ERP system
  • maintaining our 3D and 2D CAD library of products

Requirements:

  • relevant degree in industrial design, product design or design engineering
  • proficient use in 2D and 3D software (we operate with Inventor, but are interested in experience in any other CAD program) and a specific skill set in making production drawings
  • experience in product development with a keen interest in furniture and outdoor furniture
  • general understanding of metal sheet manufacturing processes
  • ability to develop a design from brief through to manufacturing
  • thoughtful attention to detail, a problem-solving attitude, and an excellent organisational methodology
  • excellent written and verbal communication to effectively communicate and work within a team
  • you must be eligible to work in the UK

Our head office is in London Bridge, London and our factory is in Kent. We offer hybrid working between head office and home, with a few days each month in our factory collaborating with the manufacturing and engineering teams.
