Bim coordinator
Design International is recruiting for a bim coordinator at its office in London.
Design International is an international architectural practice providing retail, hospitality, commercial and mixed-use property consultancy services for clients across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North Africa.
We are looking for BIM Coordinator to join our technical team at the earliest opportunity. The BIM Coordinator role is a new position within the company and requires an experienced individual to ensure that the BIM data is compliant and effectively coordinated to provide information for reuse by all parties in the design, construction and operation phases of a project.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
– rsponsible for the development, implementation and enforcement of BIM standards
– day to day BIM model design, production and coordination on given project(s)
– assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow processes
– be a part of the technical team, and work closely with our architectural studios and other design disciplines as well as external consultants to deliver fully integrated BIM models (including lighting, landscape, MEP and structural designs)
– identify the data and actions required to deliver the BIM-models and organise production to guarantee quality and timely delivery
– maintain master model, ensure information remains interoperable, clash detection, quality checks, data conversion
– support the teams during presentations to the internal quality review meetings, and workshops and presentations with the clients and consultants
– advise on modelling best practice and train, mentor and educate as needed
– develop and maintain further knowledge of REVIT and other relevant packages to guarantee high-quality and best practice
Required skills and qualifications:
– fluent in written and spoken English, additional languages of advantage
– RIBA Part-III qualified or equivalent with at least seven years of professional experience
– highly proficient in the Revit software and excellent technical knowledge
– knowledgeable in the use of other design applications (such as Navisworks, Rhinoceros, AutoCAD and Adobe Applications) as well as Microsoft Office Suite
– knowledge of parametric design of complex shapes using other software/tools as Dynamo and Grasshopper integrating it on BIM workflow
– excellent design and communication skills, confident to communicate to all levels of the organisation and in a culturally diverse environment
– excellent organisational skills
– able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Salary: negotiable – dependent on applicant’s level of experience + a discretionary bonus incentive scheme
Start date: immediately
