Birmingham, UK
Architect
at ADP
ADP has opportunities for architects to join its teams across the UK.
Do you dream of a better built environment?
We’re looking for architects to help us design a better future – one where buildings genuinely serve the needs of the people who use them. We currently have opportunities for ambitious and passionate architects, project architects and senior architects to join our teams in our London, Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh studios.
ADP is an employee-owned practice where all staff have a say in how the business is run and everyone benefits from its success. We know that a healthy work/life balance is important and offer a number of benefits, including a nine-day working fortnight, health insurance, studio well-being fund, paid study and volunteering days, as well as a bonus scheme. Sustainability is at the core of what we do. ADP is proud to be one of the few architects in the UK certified as a B Corporation (B Corp).
What we can offer
With eight studios across the UK, Cyprus and India and over 50 years’ history, ADP is an AJ100 top 30 architecture practice which designs around the principles of sustainability, belonging and engagement, rethinking the built environment to create a better future. At ADP, you’ll be working on projects that truly benefit their communities, from large laboratory buildings to mixed-use developments, £100m high-profile schemes to local grassroots projects. You’ll have the opportunity to utilise and develop your skills in a chosen sector or as an all-rounder, working with our cross-practice specialists in sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare and education design.
We’re an equal opportunities employer and a Gold-standard Investor in People – reflecting our belief that it takes a people-centred practice to create people-centred architecture. Diversity is at the heart of our success and we welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
Our architects oversee and manage our ADP projects and teams, and act as the lead consultant within the wider design team. You would be managing the design process, programming outputs and ensuring the delivery of high quality designs which align with ADP’s ethos and vision. You’ll be supported by a local director and our nationwide specialist sector directors.
