Domvs London is seeking a lead residential interior designer to join its team in London, UK.
We have developed an exciting portfolio of high-end projects in both London and Los Angeles and are looking for a dedicated, passionate and self-motivated lead residential interior designer with a creative approach and strong work ethic. We are looking for an individual who will relish the challenge of developing and leading our interior design studio alongside our creative principal.
The role will require candidates to work on a number of high-end projects simultaneously, supporting the executive team as required, whilst having the ability to work independently and manage their own time.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience:
- strong, creative thinker with the ability to lead the creative process and develop intelligent, thoughtful and considered design, with a passion for all things design
- someone who is excited to be hands-on and brings an enthusiastic, can-do attitude
- ability to create, develop, manage and lead a project from concept to completion
- produce relevant drawing packages and communicate design intent from concept to completion
- proven experience in project delivery including technical detailing, good knowledge of product and FF&E suppliers for ‘super prime’ residential projects
- scheduling and specification sheets
- production of CAD layouts/elevations
- great organisational skills, grasp of detail and the ability to think ahead, manage programme workflow and work within a team environment on multiple projects at different stages with a strong use of initiative
- finishes scheduling and materials boards
- indicative/illustrative digital sketches
- wide industry knowledge of designers, furniture, suppliers – skills in product sourcing, quality and assessment
- experience of procurement and managing budgets
- ability to communicate design ideas visually and verbally within the studio and externally to contractors
- experience of working on site, on finishes, installation of furniture and dressing, styling and photoshoots
- managing CGI art direction
- interest in and passion for sustainable design
- minimum BA honours in interior design/interior architecture or design, four years’ experience, proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign and Microsoft Office
The salary for this role is dependent on experience.
