MISK Design London is seeking a Part 1 or Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.

MISK is looking for a talented Part 1 or Part 2 architectural assistant with a minimum of two years experience to join their team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• support the creation and development of overall design concepts
• support and assistance to MISK directors
• work closely with MISK’s sister company HALKIN on office layouts, supporting their sales team
• perform work on phases of various interior projects including concept design, design development and construction documents
• preparation of presentation drawings and specifications
• prepare furniture, fixtures and equipment schedules (FF&E)
• liaising directly with contractors and suppliers regarding build projects
• preparing and defining scopes of works for tender
• preparing detailed joinery drawings for fitted furniture where required
• coordination and communication of all aspects of architectural design within multidisciplinary teams as requested
• work directly with other professionals, analyse problems and develop solutions to those problems
• marketing/social media support

Requirements:

• degree holder or above in architectural design or related majors from a recognised English or foreign institution
• good understanding of interior space planning and how to detail joinery
• the ideal individual will be positive, intuitive, and confident in their work
• able to produce high-quality, accurate drawings independently
• enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a small team
• must be organised, used to working to tight deadlines and respond well to feedback
• hands-on skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign
• Rhino/Sketchup/3dsMax and V-Ray will be advantage
• self-motivated, hard-working
• fluency in written and spoken English
• excellent communication skills
• experience of creating and developing design concepts and formulating design presentation strategies by design software or freehand sketch
