Tom Turner Architects is seeking a project architect to join its team in Brighton, UK.
Join us on our mission to harness the poetic and artistic potential of regional architecture to create new work of cultural value.
Based in beautiful parkland in the South Downs, a stone’s throw from Brighton, we are inspired by the vernacular buildings that surround us.
We use our knowledge of traditional buildings as the starting point to find a new regional architecture that is both culturally and environmentally sustainable.
Responsibilities:
- running projects from start to finish
- supporting junior architects and Part 2s
- supporting the development of the practice
Experience:
- lead architect of private residential projects of a value up to £2m
- at least two years post Part 3
- Knowledge of both traditional and contemporary construction
Profile:
- interest in regional rural architecture
- positive energy
- well organised
Requirements:
- excellent design ability
- confident in construction detailing and specification
- good communication and presentation skills
- full UK driving licence and access to a car
Preferable:
- proficiency in:
- Vectorworks 2D and 3D
- NBS specification
- InDesign
