Job description:
As an architect in our studio, you will play a pivotal role in the design, planning, and execution of our high-end residential projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- collaborating with the director to understand the project vision and requirements
- developing design concepts and translating them into detailed architectural plans
- producing accurate and meticulous construction drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations
- conducting site visits and coordinating with contractors, other consultants, and suppliers to ensure the seamless execution of the design
- assisting with project management duties, including live tracking of progress against program and budgeting against actual costs
- contributing to design meetings, presenting ideas, and providing valuable insights to enhance project outcomes
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- ARB registered architect
- proven experience (five years) in high-end residential design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design and implementation prowess
- proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe CS or similar tools
- excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of design and documentation
- a strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
- effective communication skills, enabling you to collaborate seamlessly with clients, contractors, and colleagues
- knowledge of local building codes and regulations
Extensive site experience implementing high-end projects - experience in project management, contract administration and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
