Modelmaker

Levitt Bernstein is seeking a modelmaker to join its team in London.
Levitt Bernstein is an award winning, design-led architectural practice of 130 people with offices in London and Manchester. We are looking for a motivated modelmaker to work in collaboration with all creative teams to produce high quality architectural models, including presentation models, concept models, process models and prototypes.
Responsibilities:
- run the in-house modelshop – creating models in different media
- manage production of models
- manage the 3D printer, with the visuals team
- liaise with external suppliers and services
- assist with photographing models and storing images
- order and stock check all modelmaking supplies
- comply with health and safety requirements. Report any unsafe practices to the practice manager
- ensure all workshop equipment is regularly maintained
- inductions of modelmaking room for all new staff
- maintain list of outsourced modelmakers to help with capacity
- research into new technologies
- other adhoc duties, as required
Skills:
- previous modelmaking experience required
- ability to make models to a high standard and accuracy
- knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in relation to modelmaking practices
- understanding and knowledge of CAD
- good photography skills
- good attention to detail
- ability to work to tight deadlines
- self-motivated
This is a new role, which would be suitable for someone wanting to work part time, with the opportunity to make the role one’s own.
