A contracts manager with construction experience is needed to join a leading property restoration specialist company based in London. Expect a hands-on role overseeing multiple commercial projects by implementing and tracking programmes and the associated people and assets.
Established in 2005, this innovative company have forged a reputation for remarkable non-scaffold transformations using a unique process called façade gommage® – the world’s leading scaffold-free, dry and non-abrasive façade cleaning technology. The company work as main contractor carrying out all elements of façade restoration work with minimal disruption, from façade surveying and painting to new stonework and roofing. Their portfolio of projects includes historic landmarks such as King’s College Cambridge, the Bank of England and Somerset House.
Working at the forefront of the company, the contracts manager will combine project programming utilising relevant programming software to provide first rate support. Whether you are attending tender sessions, making and analysing progress reports, organising and leading meetings, meeting potential clients, liaising with surveyors, architects, clients and health and safety teams or ensuring all company paperwork is completed accurately, it will be your expert input that ensures successful delivery and client satisfaction.
To qualify, you should be a contracts manager with construction experience or similar who can demonstrate:
- minimum of five years’ experience as a contracts manager
- high level project management and implementation skills, including an ability to manage multiple strands of activity simultaneously
- proficient user of MS Project
- excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- highly developed interpersonal skills, with ability to work proactively with people at all levels
- well-developed negotiation skills, in order to re-negotiate deadlines and resources without creating unacceptable risk
- excellent team player with an outgoing and friendly manner
- excellent chairing skills to ensure output led and effective meetings
- ability to work well under pressure in a methodical and organised manner
- high level organisation skills with the ability to work independently and prioritise workload to meet fixed deadlines
- good attention to detail
