Interior designer

Blyth – Collinson Interiors is hiring an interior designer to join its team in London.
Our design team is growing and we are looking for a talented interior designer to join us!
We are currently working a range of beautiful projects in the UK and abroad. The projects are both residential and commercial.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- work closely with the director and the design team, assisting during all phases of the design process from concept to handover
- create, prepare and present design concepts
- source finishes, fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, hardware and accessories
- develop design drawings (layouts, bespoke furniture, lighting, joinery), finishes, sanitary ware and ironmongery schedules
- prepare FF&E budgets on EstiMac
- manage FF&E and sourcing to target budgets and timetable on a daily level
- assess and manage prototype stages of bespoke pieces
- attend regular site and client visits (with director)
- project admin – filing, minutes, ordering, invoicing
- manage and oversee FF&E install
- maintain sample library
Requirements/qualifications:
- ideally three to six years’ experience
- excellent communication skills
- meticulous attention to detail, extremely organised and efficient
- experience in being part of a collaborative design environment
- knowledge of local and online showrooms and resources, and industry trends
- drawing/sketching skills
- there might be travelling involved to our projects abroad
- ideally driving license
Software requirements:
- Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- EstimMac
- ideally good working knowledge of vector works
