Brookes Architects is seeking a Part 1 ‘year out’ student to join its team in London.
Brookes Architects Ltd is a long-established practice based in southwest London.
We have a strong reputation for projects covering all aspects of residential and mixed-use development from affordable to high-end apartments, student housing and one-off private houses, together with a growing portfolio of school and hotel projects.
We are seeking assertive and practical RIBA Part 1 ‘year out’ students to join us for the 2023/2024 academic year.
Students will be introduced to all RIBA work stages, planning legislation and UK Building Regulations and will usually be involved in numerous projects during their year here.
A competitive salary will be agreed commensurate with previous experience and in line with the Real Living Wage for London at £25,000 per annum.
There is a genuine opportunity to gain excellent experience within the practice. We are committed to nurturing enthusiastic students. We seek to retain all our staff, supporting, mentoring and developing them to the highest possible level.
Many members of our team who originally joined us as Part 1 ‘year out’ students have returned post-Part 2 and have subsequently completed their professional qualifications, including two of our current directors.
We were early adopters of BIM technology. Preference will be given to students with some Revit experience/familiarity.
