Part 2 architectural assistant
at Watershedd
Watershedd is looking for a talented and highly motivated Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in west London.
Watershedd is a unique design-led architecture and development company based in London and working throughout the UK on high-end private houses and bespoke commercial projects. We have a number of existing projects on site and in the design process, some of which are our own developments and others for private individuals. We are looking for an ambitious team member to join us in the studio to work across all aspects of the project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- producing design presentations and mood boards for new and ongoing projects
- producing drawings for planning applications and detailed tender packages
- liaising directly with external consultants e.g. structural and mechanical engineers to obtain specific technical details to include within drawings
- attending on-site meetings and managing queries as required
Skills:
- RIBA Part 2 or equivalent qualification
- a minimum of one year’s practice-based experience
- strong design and presentation skills with an interest in materials and the environment
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work well in a team
- excellent time management, organisation, planning and attention to detail, ability to think creatively and problem-solve through design
- self-motivated to learn and develop
- experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and a CAD drawing package, preferably Vectorworks, or a willingness to learn
- ability to travel with work as required
Essential:
- Part 1 and Part 2 architectural degrees or equivalent
- current eligibility to work in the UK and good written and spoken English
