Sybarite has a vacancy for a senior interior designer to join its team in London.
Sybarite is looking for a highly creative and talented senior interior designer to work on medium and large-scale luxury retail projects in the Middle East and China. Based in our west London studio, you will work within a multidisciplinary project team to design and realise projects for the most innovative retail operators in the world.

Founded in 2002 as a boutique studio dedicated to luxury retail, Sybarite has since grown into a global design agency with projects ranging in scale from masterplans and architecture to interiors and products. About the role
Sybarite is seeking candidates who are passionate about design and keen to collaborate on key mixed-use projects. This is a key role within the project team that will focus on interior design and interior architecture on medium and large-scale luxury retail projects located from concept design to completion.
As a key team member and team leader, you will balance design, technical ability, project management, and efficiency to deliver cohesive interior projects that are aesthetically innovative and technically feasible.
About you/requirements:
- minimum five years’ luxury design experience delivering mixed-use projects globally
- strong visual storytelling skills, naturally igniting great rapport and adapting style to all levels
- able to confidently take responsibility for leading CD, SD & DD package delivery, programming resources and workload
- superb knowledge of materials and finishes, and their appropriate uses
- proficiency in generating drawing tender packages
- manage and mentor a small group, leading and motivating them towards deadlines
- able to confidently assist the associate in the design and production of interior or architectural projects within the office.
Key skills and experience:
- consider the relationship between creativity and technical design as fluid
- competence in annotating construction drawing packs from contractors and third parties
- collaborative with other disciplines such as signage, installation, wayfinding and branding
- good knowledge of Rhino and AutoCAD is required (visualisation expertise preferred)
- knowledge of Revit preferred
- experience in tenant guidelines
- experience designing, scheduling, sourcing and delivering FF&E
- experience with CRM packages an advantage
- experience liaising with subcontractors and stakeholders
- hand sketching ideation from both a creative and technical perspective beneficial
- good communication skills and presentation skills
