F.O.G. Architecture is seeking two architectural assistants to join its growing teams in Shanghai and Chongqing, China.
Location: Shanghai/Chongqing, China
Position: architectural assistant
Experience: minimum one year post-RIBA Part 2 (or equivalent)
Founded in 2019, F.O.G. is a design-led practice working across a diverse range of project types and scales – from small shops and medium-scale urban renovations to large architectural developments. Our work spans major cities, rural contexts, and an increasing number of international commissions. This breadth offers opportunities to engage with different design challenges, site conditions, and client profiles.
Key responsibilities:
- lead or support one or more design projects
- collaborate with directors to develop project briefs
- oversee the design process from concept to delivery
- coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors
- produce design documentation and presentation materials
- contribute to studio operations as needed
Candidate requirements
Experience:
- minimum one year of post-RIBA Part 2 (or equivalent) experience
- experience on small to medium-sized, design-oriented projects
- familiarity with team-based project workflows
- understanding of project processes in China is a plus
Skills:
- RIBA Parts 1 and 2 (or equivalent)
- strong proficiency in CAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
- experience with D5 or similar rendering tools
- organised, proactive, and dependable
- strong communication and time management skills
