Part 3 architect

Ade Architecture is seeking a Part 3 ARB registered project architect to join its team in London.

Ade Architecture is an award-winning, design-led practice, based in Wandsworth. We specialise in high-end residential architecture and mixed use projects.

We are looking for a Part 3 ARB Architect to join our team, to work on a number of exciting projects in the UK. We have a considerable number of on-site projects and regularly oversee our schemes from inception to completion

Essential requirements:

  • minimum of three years’ practice experience (ideally in a small practice)
  • a high level of design and detailing skills
  • knowledge of all RIBA work stages
  • knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
  • experience of, and confidence in, liaising with clients
  • proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop), and SketchUp
  • ability to hand draw
  • excellent written and spoken English
  • proficient in Outlook, Office and Excel

Roles and responsibilities:

  • meet new clients, take a full brief and estimate project resourcing requirements
  • creative problem solving skills and the ability to present options
  • work on design concepts and develop these by producing high standard feasibility presentations, and subsequent planning, building control, tender and construction drawing packages
  • coordinate our architectural information with design team consultants including structural engineers, party wall surveyors, M&E, heritage and sustainability consultants etc, as well as technically reviewing drawings by other consultants
  • preparing and submitting planning applications including design & access and heritage statements
  • liaise with local and statutory authorities, including planning officers, building control inspectors and utility providers
  • site supervision and contract administration including issuing interim certificates and valuations
  • organise and manage project administration and drawings/documentation
