Studio manager

Morrow and Lorraine is hiring a studio manager to join its team in London.
We are an award-winning practice based in the City of London. Established in 2009, the practice is known for creating enduring and thoughtful buildings underpinned by sustainable design.
The studio manager is a varied role for someone who has first-rate organisation and communication skills. The ideal candidate is a results driven, self-motivated individual who is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the studio and plays a key part in team engagement. There is scope to progress the communications and marketing aspects of the role. Interest or previous experience in these areas would be advantageous. A genuine enthusiasm for architecture and design would also be beneficial to the role.
The studio manager assists the practice manager and works closely with other members of the senior management team.
Responsibilities include:
- day-to-day studio facilities operations including liaison with the landlord, building facilities and managing stocks of studio consumables
- managing studio budget and external suppliers
- health and safety management
- maintaining and reviewing practice systems and policies
- managing ongoing ISO14001 certification
- assisting with HR and aspects of financial administration including onboarding new staff members, organising CPD programme
- managing trainees and work experience placements
- maintaining the practice website and social media communications
- assisting with implementation of marketing strategies
- organising internal and external events such as team trips and networking socials
Skills required:
- highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- self-motivated, enjoys problem solving with attention to detail
- willingness to pitch in and assist others
- strong collaborator
- proficiency in MS Office and experience in Adobe Creative Suite
- good working knowledge of social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram
Salary: £28,000 to £33,000
