Senior interior designer
NC Design & Architecture is on the hunt for a senior interior designer to join its team in Hong Kong.
NC Design & Architecture – NCDA, is an award-winning multidisciplinary Hong Kong-based interior design studio. Our projects include the flagship ‘WeWork’ coworking space inspired by Hong Kong transportation system, ‘Krug Room’ in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel inspired by a train cabin, ‘Foxglove’ bar which is disguised behind an umbrella shop, and ‘McDonald’s’ new design palette ‘Alphabet’ which is currently rolling out globally. We offer architecture, interior, furniture, lighting, product and graphic design services. No project has ever been the same as each project is customized to meet our client’s needs, we design our space like a stage set where we addresses the mood of a space right down to its detail components (custom furniture, lighting and artwork). Our team now welcomes high caliber talents to join our expanding studio in Hong Kong. Being a member of our growing team, you will be able to work on a number of unique one-off projects including the interior of three building towers and a number of bespoke F&B projects. You will be able to work collaboratively in a creative environment with an international team, creating projects with memorable experience. All candidates with an excellent educational background (in the field of architecture, interior or furniture design) with six to ten years of solid experience in the field of high-quality residential and hospitality projects are invited to apply for this position at our studio.
Requirements for the role:
- degree in architecture, interior or furniture design
- confident in directing a small team of designers
- able to communicate design ideas visually with confidence
- highly proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign
- 3D modelling programs such as 3DS max, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper would be a plus
- minimum 6-10 years of professional experience in producing tender drawing packages
- exceptional detailing skills
- FF&E selection and specification
- fluent in spoken and written English
Responsibilities:
- produce full tender and construction drawings for high-end residential and hospitality projects
- FF&E selection and specification
- construction supervision
- supervise junior interior designers and 3D renderer
- coordinate with external consultants such as license consultant, fire services, mechanics and electricians, main contractor, custom furniture and lighting fabricator etc
We offer competitive remuneration for the ideal candidate. Candidates with less experience will be considered for intermediate interior designer.
