One Rise East is looking for a mid-weight interior designer to join its London team.

Job description
Full-time, fixed 12-month position working alongside a team of talented designers, you will have the ability to take a brief from concept to completion, effectively communicating your ideas with lead creatives and the wider team. With a great eye for detail, you will be expected to adapt to feedback both internally and from the client in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- take briefs from concept through to completion, from small to large projects
- generate creative and innovative ideas in response to briefs from clients
- understand clients’ needs and the needs of the people using the space to develop design concepts
- effectively communicate your ideas from concept stage through to final design effectively and clearly
- prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design software
- work with suppliers and source products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing
- create and be passionate about producing 3D visualisations for a range of spaces and environments
- consider materials and costs according to set budgets
- consider creative alternatives of materials and suppliers in order to deliver a project on time and in budget whilst maintaining a high quality of design
- travel to events to supervise work on-site with the extended production and creative teams
- attend weekly meetings with the creative team to talk about work in progress and deliverables
- take part in studio-wide brainstorms and contribute to studio discussions
- stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, platforms and programs
- maintain accurate time records of projects
- hold ownership of small projects
Skills, experience and personal attributes
Experience
- three-four years experience in a similar role or environment
- interior design degree or architectural qualifications
Skills:
- ability to visualise and communicate design solutions in 2D and 3D through hand sketching and with advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and a 3D Software (3DS Max/ Sketchup Pro)
- an understanding of building works and production processes
- outstanding eye for architecture and design
- excellent verbal and written communication
- knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and google docs)
- great organisational, teamwork and time management skills
- have the ability to work in a team environment and individually
