R+S Architects Engineers Design Group is hiring a project architect to join its team in Shanghai, China.

Rolland and Associates Architects of Architecture is a Sino-French Architecture Design Company. Our headquarter is located in Angers, France since 1954.
Our China office has been located in Shanghai since 1993. The French and Chinese offices together employ 60 professional architects and engineers. Our main goals are to create harmonious urban spaces and build unforgettable architectural experiences.
Over 60 years of experience, we have completed eight university campuses, five concert halls, two Exposition Centres, and four sports stadiums as public buildings. We have developed numerous housing projects, luxurious villas complex, five prestigious hotels, and three hospitals in both France and China.
Project architect
Job responsibilities:
- lead design progress for Middle East public/civic building projects from concept throughconstruction documents and site support, coordinating with the Middle East client and the Shanghaidesign team
- participate in and develop schematic design, ensure spatial logic and design quality, and deliver implementable design outcomes
- organise construction drawings and related late-stage deliverables, coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines, and follow up on site technical issues and design changes
- communicate and report in English with the Middle East client, keep the Shanghai team aligned, and ensure smooth milestones and collaboration
Requirements:
- bachelor’s degree or above in architecture or a related field, with three+ years of architectural design experience
- strong schematic design capability, with experience in late-stage drawings and on-site construction support
- overseas public/civic building project experience preferred
- fluent spoken English and strong communication skills; able to drive the project between the Middle East client and the Shanghai team
