3D rendering and visualisation specialist
at Yellow Studio
Yellow Studio is looking for a 3D rendering and visualisation specialist to join its team in New York.
Position overview:
In this role, you will work closely with our senior visualisation artist and in-house design team to bring hand sketches and computer-generated drawings to life through immersive 3D renderings and animations. You will visualise both small and large-scale designs, ranging from world- famous awards shows to televised live events, studio shows, concerts, exhibitions and detailed interiors.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- create high-quality, photorealistic 3D renderings, animations and graphics
- collaborate closely with our in-house project managers, senior visualisation artist and design team to ensure accurate representation of concepts and ideas
- model, texture, light and render 3D scenes using industry-standard software
- quickly adjust and optimise existing designs as needed to maintain efficiency and meet project deadlines
- maintain consistency in quality and viewing angles across multiple rounds of renderings
- regularly share updated files and exports with the necessary departments
- keep working files and visuals organised in the correct server folders
- communicate effectively with clients, project managers and team members to ensure project success
- Provide creative input and contribute to the development of visual concepts and designs
- manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines
- stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance rendering techniques
- be open to occasional travel (domestic and international) when required
Skills and qualifications:
- bachelor’s degree from an art or design school preferred
- minimum of 2 years of professional rendering experience
- strong portfolio showcasing a range of 3D rendering and animation work
- advanced skills in some or all of the following software: Cinema 4D, Houdini FX, 3DS Max, Rhino 3D, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Unreal Engine, Redshift, Octane, Corona, V-Ray
- familiarity with procedural workflows
- proficient with physically based GPU rendering
- comprehensive understanding of various lighting scenarios and environments, including indoor, outdoor and production/industry settings
- proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs, Microsoft Office, macOS and Windows
- highly organised with strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a small team
- strong organisational skills and an ability to set priorities and manage time
- works well under pressure
- willingness to work occasional extended hours
- friendly and approachable attitude, with a willingness to assist as needed
This full-time position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring two to three days per week in the New York City office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.
Applicants must be authorised to work in the US.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, ranging from $65,000 to $80,000, plus benefits. This is a good faith estimate based on the expectations as laid out in the job description.
