The role
We are seeking a motivated and capable Project Architect to join our team. This role is ideal for a young architect looking to take ownership of projects and develop within a supportive, hands-on studio environment.
You will be responsible for managing residential projects through all RIBA stages, with a particular focus on technical delivery and coordination. You will be working directly alongside the company director, and will be expected to take on a leading role in helping the practice to grow.
Key responsibilities:
- develop, lead and manage residential projects across all RIBA work stages
- prepare and coordinate detailed drawing packages and technical information
- ensure compliance with Planning requirements, Building Regulations and other regulatory requirements
- liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities
- oversee project delivery on site, including contract administration
- manage project programmes, budgets, and resources
- contribute to design development and technical problem-solving
- support and guide junior team members in their day-to-day project work
- ensure work is delivered on time, to a high standard, and in line with project objectives
- contribute to the wider organisational development of the practice
- support the strategic development and growth of the practice
Requirements:
- ARB-registered architect
- minimum two years post-Part 3 experience
- strong technical background with proven experience in UK residential projects
- excellent knowledge of construction detailing, including sustainable design strategies
- confident in developing and coordinating design packages
- experience managing projects and coordinating consultant teams
- ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- strong communication, organisational and presentation skills
Software skills:
- proficiency with Vectorworks, Sketchup, Adobe Suite preferred
- 3D modelling experience with Twinmotion or Enscape beneficial
