Design International is looking for a senior architect to join its practice in London.
Design International is an architectural practice based in London, with branch offices in Milan, Shanghai and Dubai. We operate on a global scale and provide our clients with innovative and ambitious design solutions, with a particular focus on retail, mixed-use and hospitality architecture.
We are looking for a senior architect with experience on large scale projects to join our innovative design team in London. The successful candidate will be able to draw using Revit and communicate effectively and efficiently with the client and relevant consultants for a large retail and mixed-used project in Tunisia.
Key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
- preparing project design work including drawings, plans, images, reports and presentations across disciplines including master planning, architecture as well as landscape and other design disciplines
- organising and preparing required project documentation in Revit and coordinating with external consultants specialised in Revit
- collaborating with other team members and sub-contractors to produce design work and revisions according to the client brief on time and on budget
- supporting the team leader and studio director during project presentations to the design review board
- ensuring that project documentation is archived correctly
Required skills and qualifications:
- excellent written and spoken English and French, additional languages of advantage, e.g. Arabic
- Part 3 qualified or equivalent with at least 8 years post qualification experience
- excellent design and communication skills, confident to communicate at all levels of the organisation and in a culturally diverse environment
- able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- proficient in the use of design applications (such as CAD, Rhino and Adobe Suite) as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- proficient Revit user: able to draw and review Revit drawings
- open to travel overseas to support project tasks if/when required
Further information:
- start date: immediately
- contract type: an initial 9 month fixed-term contract to support the project from the design development stage to the detail design stage, which will take approximately 9 to 12 months to complete
- remuneration: dependant on applicants’ expertise and level of experience
