BIM technician

Haworth Tompkins is seeking a BIM technician to join its firm in London.
Award-winning architectural practice Haworth Tompkins, based in Kentish Town, are currently looking for experienced BIM technicians with good detailing and communication skills, to work on a range of medium to large scale projects in the housing, cultural, performance, higher education, workspace and mixed use and conservation sectors.
Attributes:
- provide support to project teams in creating and developing accurate 3D models in both Revit and SketchUp
- provide Revit support to Project Teams in collaboration with the BIM manager
- produce Revit families according to project requirements
- contribute to and maintain BIM standards and library of BIM objects
- implement and manage design iterations through design options tools in Revit
- expert use of Revit content for scheduling model components and quantifying real-time
- provide basic rendering to models applying appropriate lighting techniques
- produce visuals and animations of exterior and interior spaces for internal review and client presentations
- collaborate with the wider teams to refine modelling, rendering and retouching skills and methods
- experience of producing working drawings and understanding of BIM workflow and Common Data Environments
- experience working across all RIBA workstages, understanding workflows and CDE
As well as the above, successful candidate would preferably also meet the following criteria:
- beneficial but not essential to have worked on design-led projects in the UK
- good understanding of construction would be beneficial but not essential, and be able to prepare detailed working drawings
- able to use Rhino
Additional information
We use Bentley MicroStation and Revit CAD packages to develop our projects. We work as a collaborative and proactive studio where communication and knowledge sharing is encouraged. Project work is supported by a programme of lunchtime talks, construction site visits and office trips.
