Mid-weight/senior industrial designer
at Rainlight
Rainlight is looking for a mid-weight/senior industrial designer to join its studio in London.
Rainlight is an integrated studio working in London and Los Angeles with client collaborations across America, Europe, and Asia. We combine inspired design thinking with business acumen to create artefacts that enhance how people live, work, and play in the real world.
We are looking for skilled and passionate product designers to be involved in all aspects of design development. We require experience in all phases of development and a brilliant finesse in detailing. The ideal candidate will be a highly proficient CAD modeller, have knowledge of manufacturing principles, possess a refined sense of form, and have the capacity for skilled visualisation and presentation.
The candidate will work with the creative director and have the opportunity to collaborate with architects, interior designers, manufacturers and clients, which will require good communication and teamwork.
Requirements
Degree in industrial design, product design or related field plus eight plus years’ of experience in industrial design.
Skills must include
2D and 3D visualisation; hand or digital sketching; high-level proficiency in Rhino (Required) and/or Solidworks; Keyshot; prototyping & model making; user centred design research and practices.
