Haworth Tompkins is searching for an experienced technical architect to join its practice in London.
Award-winning architectural practice Haworth Tompkins are currently looking for an experienced technical architect with strong technical design skills to support teams across the housing, higher education, cultural and conservation sectors. Suitable candidates will be an architect or architectural technician with at least ten years’ experience in practice. The role will be to assist and support teams with detailing and specifications and undertake QA reviews at key stages of projects.
Attributes:
- strong technical knowledge in relation to technical design, specification and construction is essential
- experience of assisting and supporting project teams with detailing and specifications and undertaking QA reviews at key stages of the project
- experience working on design-led projects in the UK
- good 2D CAD skills
- knowledge of BIM is advantageous
- a good understanding of UK design standards
- minimum ten years’ experience in practice
- strong communication skills
Additional information
We use Bentley Microstation and Revit CAD packages to develop our projects. Experience using this software is advantageous, but training can also be provided. We work as a collaborative and proactive studio where communication and knowledge sharing is encouraged. Project work is supported by a programme of lunchtime talks, construction site visits and office trips.
